[Wool cap- Baldwin Denim; vintage US Army coat- my dad's; skinny jeans- Gap; watch- Nixon Rubber Player]
A few weeks ago I discovered a marvelous local Kansas City company called Baldwin Denim. Despite the fact that I exceeded the capacity for denim in my cabinet (chock full with Levis 511) I continue to browse their lookbook. What's worse is I've recently seen them explode across the interwebs. Mens' style blogs across the nation are touting Baldwin as the savior of American denim. What's really worse is the fact that I'm a post-baccalaureate nursing student without a job (fingers crossed I'm offered one upon my graduation in August), and I'm currently in the process of purchasing a great house with my amazing girlfriend, Cristin. That being said these may have to be a graduation present to myself. What's even MORE worse is that I have an addiction to caps. Coming from Chicago, I promised myself that I would never don a cap that strayed from my favorite teams (Blackhawks, Bears, White Sox… yea, South Side). My stubborn nature buckled. I gave in to temptation; and to tide myself over for the time being, I purchased this great wool vintage "KC" cap from Baldwin:

It's a solid navy blue cap that has "KC" in red on the front, white stitching around one of the back vent holes, and an American flag embroidered on the back. Off the table it has a great weathered fit, but I threw it in the washer and dryer (both on hot and high) to make it fit a little snugger around my crown. Bottom line, great look; great cap.
I haven't been able to find their caps for purchase on their website, but Standard Style on the Plaza has them in a variety of colors: navy/white, navy/red, red/white (looks ridiculous).
I like the random dog in the background!
