Left: Jim Beam Rye lotion; Right: Jim Beam Rye scrub

This blog was intended to be a supplement to our anticipated potential business. Kyle and I intend on specializing in a line of accessories that both feel good and allow men to retain their masculinity. Two of our prototypes are displayed above. These are grooming products have a base comprised of Jim Beam Rye Whiskey and beeswax. The lotion (on the left) contains both olive and almond oils and is great supplement to the scrub. Said scrub contains organic turbanado sugar and organic sea salt. I suffer from psoriasis and have extremely sensitive skin, and I find that the mildly abrasive nature of the scrub loosens and sloughs off those dead, dry cells. Not to plug ourselves even more, but I have been using both the scrub and lotion daily, and my face has been greatly alleviated of the majority of symptoms. The motivation for concocting these products was through my experiences with store-bought washes and scrubs that only exacerbated the itching, burning, and redness. The fact that our products contain less than four or five ingredients there leaves no room for added chemicals or irritating substances. What's more is that when opened, the aroma of rye whiskey percolates through the room. Be not wary, as the scent of whiskey diminishes over time; therefore, if you're running late for a meeting and get pulled over for speeding, the smell won't be mistaken for an eye-opener. Other products on the docket include pocket squares, lip balm, belt buckles… bacon candles? Stay tuned.
