Clarks

Lately I found myself in a shoe buying mood.  I always seem to find a pair that I feel will fill a certain wardrobe need.  It probably doesn't help that saddle shoes are back (I will post about my new saddle shoes soon). The other day I found myself in the new Clarks store at the Town Center Plaza shops in Leawood, Kansas, coveting their Taupe men's Desert Boots.  I know it seems like I am a little late to the Clark's party, but I assure you this is about the twentieth time I have looked at, tried on, and argued with myself over them. It must have been the weather, sunny and seventy degrees, or perhaps for the first time it was the right time to by a pair of them. But that is precisely what I did.  If you have ever bought a pair of boots then you know full well that it takes time to break them in, but the Desert Boot feels perfect from the get go. It has a classic look, they are not flashy nor do they contain the trappings of the trendy, they are timelessly man. I am not sure what it is, it could be the soft leather, the incredibly simple construction, or the what Clark's calls the "crepe" sole. But these boots are Freshly Squozen.  If you have never owned a pair, buy them, you will not regret it, I promise.

Clarks equal Freshly Squozen
